Buy Back Your Items in St Helens

Need access to cash but do not want to permanently part with your item?

Our buyback service allows you to sell an eligible item to our Cash Generator St Helens store and gives you the option to buy it back within the period shown in your agreement.

The service is available from the same trusted Church Street premises as St Helens Gold.

How Our Buyback Service Works

1

Bring in your item

Visit our Church Street store with the item you would like us to assess.

2

Receive an offer

Our team will inspect the item and explain the amount we can offer.

3

Complete the agreement

If you accept the offer, we purchase the item and provide a buyback agreement showing the relevant dates, fees and repurchase amount.

4

Buy your item back

You may return before the deadline shown in your agreement and purchase the item back for the stated amount.

The exact period, deadline, fees and repurchase amount will be clearly stated in your agreement. Customers should always refer to their individual agreement for the full terms.

Is Buyback a Loan?

No. Buyback is not a loan and it is not the same as a traditional pawn agreement.

Under a buyback agreement, Cash Generator purchases the item from you and gives you the option to purchase it back under the terms shown in your agreement.

You are not required to buy the item back, but if you wish to do so, you must follow the dates and terms stated in your agreement.

What Items Can We Consider?

Items are assessed individually and acceptance cannot be guaranteed. Categories the store may consider include:

  • mobile phones
  • laptops
  • tablets
  • games consoles
  • televisions
  • tools
  • jewellery
  • watches
  • audio equipment
  • selected electronics
  • other suitable items with resale value

The item must be owned by you and in a condition suitable for resale. Some items may require proof of purchase, passwords to be removed, accounts to be signed out and security features to be disabled before we can proceed.

What You Need to Bring

  • the item
  • any chargers, accessories, boxes or paperwork
  • valid photographic identification
  • proof of address where required
  • proof of ownership where requested
  • passwords or access needed to test the item

Additional identification or documentation may be required depending on the item and transaction.

Do Not Miss Your Buyback Deadline

Your agreement will show the final date on which you may purchase your item back.

It is your responsibility to check this date and return before the deadline if you wish to recover the item.

If you are unsure about your deadline or the amount required, contact the store as early as possible and have your agreement details available.

Buyback or Permanent Sale?

Buyback may be suitable where:

  • • the customer wants access to cash temporarily;
  • • the customer may want the item back;
  • • the customer understands the repurchase cost and deadline.

A permanent sale may be more suitable where:

  • • the customer no longer wants the item;
  • • the customer does not plan to recover it;
  • • the customer wants a straightforward one-off transaction.

Our team can explain both options, but the customer must decide which arrangement best suits their circumstances.

Can I Use Buyback for Gold or Jewellery?

Gold, jewellery and watches may be considered depending on the item, its condition, value and the store’s current acceptance criteria.

Customers who want to sell gold permanently are usually better served by our main St Helens Gold service:
