Yes. A missing certificate does not stop us assessing a bar. We may need to spend a little longer on authenticity checks and it can affect the offer, but bars without paperwork are considered.
Can I sell a bar with damaged packaging?+
Yes. Bars with torn or damaged assay cards or blister packs are still welcome. Bring the original packaging if you still have it, even if it is damaged — it can help with the assessment.
Should I remove a gold bar from its assay card?+
No — please leave sealed bars in their original packaging and bring them to us as they are. We will decide together whether opening the packaging is appropriate.
Can you value bullion from photographs?+
Photographs give us a useful initial indication only. They cannot confirm authenticity, weight or purity. An exact final offer always requires physical inspection at the counter.
Do you buy large gold bars?+
Larger bars such as 250g, 500g and 1kg are welcome. For higher-value transactions we ask that you call ahead so we can prepare the appointment, have the right team on the counter and discuss payment arrangements in advance.
Do you buy inherited bullion collections?+
Yes. We regularly help families work through inherited bars and coin collections. There is no obligation to sell — many customers come in first simply to understand what is there.
